What are the Forklift training requirements in Scarborough, Ontario?

Forklift training for city of Scarborough has the same Lift Truck training requirements as all the other Ontario cities, in that you must be a certified operator in order to operate an industrial lift truck. If you are not, there could be fines and penalties imposed by the Canadian Centre For Occupational Health and Safety.

What are my Lift Truck Training options?

You have 2 training options with Lucid Training & Consulting. You can sign-up online for our online Forklift certification, or you can consult with one of our safety trainers regarding worksite safety classes.

They will come onsite and perform the training in a 2 step process. The classroom session which covers the rules, regulations, fines and penalties, the safe operation of a Lift Truck, finally a group discussion. The final step involves the hands on evaluation, which will demonstrate the operator’s ability to handle the Forklift safely.

Propane cylinder exchange, what can this be used for?

The propane cylinder exchange can be used for Forklifts, which is a requirement if it is powered by propane. The propane tank training can also be used for BBQs

How long does WHMIS certification Take, how long does it take to get my WHMIS certificate?

The WHMIS certification will take approximately one hour or less, at which time if you have successfully passed, your WHMIS certificate will automatically be put in your account to print off.

How many questions are on the Overhead Crane training test?

There is 34 true and false questions on the online overhead crane training, the same applies to the onsite class.

Do you offer safety consulting for the Scarborough area?

Yes, our trainers have years of experience in assessing a company's  safety program. We can also sit down with you and develop one. We can comeback on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis to see how it is working for you, and see if it requires any adjustments.

We have a much older Scissor Lift, are they normally still good to train on?

You would have consult with one of our instructors to see if you can use it for training.
